What is Jordan Cove?
The Jordan Cove Project is a world-class liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal and natural gas pipeline that would transport North American natural gas – the cleanest-burning hydrocarbon fuel available today – to world markets. Pembina, the parent company of the Jordan Cove Project, is committed to building a long-term business in Southern Oregon and the South Coast and will work with local leaders to ensure communities benefit from the Jordan Cove Project.
The Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) is reviewing the Jordan Cove Project for consistency with the Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP).The OCMP provides the basis for protecting, restoring, and responsibly developing our nation's diverse coastal communities and resources. The Jordan Cove Project is committed to upholding Oregon’s values of protecting coastal water quality and promoting public access to our beaches.
DLCD has started the coastal consistency review of the Jordan Cove Project and is soliciting comments on project consistency with the Oregon Coastal Management Program.
We are asking stakeholders to weigh in during the comment period to let DLCD know that the Jordan Cove Project supports Oregon’s land use goals and the Project is working in cooperation with coastal partners to protect Oregon’s land and water resources in compliance with Oregon’s Coastal Management Program.
